ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan, organized a tree plantation drive at the PTCL Training Academy in Islamabad as part of its Independence Day campaign, “Pakistan Jitna Jawan.”
Held under the banner of “Plant for Pakistan,” the initiative reaffirmed the two organizations’ shared commitment to environmental protection and building a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Pakistan.
PTCL CEO Nadeem Khan and WWF-Pakistan Senior Director Programmes Rab Nawaz participated in the plantation activity, along with senior executives from both organizations and members of the PTCL family.
The activity brought together employees and leadership in a collective effort to support environmental conservation and contribute to a healthier and more climate-resilient future.
The “Plant for Pakistan” initiative forms part of PTCL’s broader sustainability efforts aimed at reducing its environmental footprint. The company is also working to reduce its carbon footprint and pursue its long-term goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
The plantation drive complements these efforts by promoting nature-based action and encouraging greater environmental responsibility among employees and communities.
