DERA GHAZI KHAN: Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry on Wednesday reviewed progress on a water bottling plant being established near Daraahma under the Punjab Chief Minister’s Clean Drinking Water Programme, aimed at improving access to safe drinking water for underserved communities.
During his visit, the commissioner inspected different sections of the facility, including construction work, machinery installation and overall project arrangements.
Officials from the Punjab Saaf Pani Authority briefed him on the project’s progress, the water bottling process, installation of equipment and other technical aspects.
Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry said providing clean and safe drinking water remains a top priority of the Punjab government. He said the initiative is designed to deliver safe drinking water to vulnerable groups, including widows, orphans, persons with disabilities and other deserving citizens.
He directed the relevant authorities to ensure the water supply system remains efficient, transparent and uninterrupted to provide maximum public benefit.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid and other senior officials also attended the visit.
