Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday confirmed that Pakistan has received an official invitation to join a proposed international Peace Board on Gaza, as global efforts intensify to bring an end to the conflict and initiate post-war reconstruction in the Palestinian territory.
According to the Foreign Office, the invitation was extended by the President of the United States as part of discussions on a broader Gaza Peace Plan, which includes administrative, diplomatic, and humanitarian mechanisms aimed at restoring stability, rebuilding infrastructure, and addressing governance challenges in Gaza following a ceasefire.

Officials said the Prime Minister of Pakistan has been invited to participate in the proposed forum. Any decision regarding Pakistan’s participation will be taken through consultation with the country’s political leadership and Parliament, keeping in view national interests and Pakistan’s longstanding policy on Palestine.
The Foreign Office reiterated that Pakistan remains fully committed to international efforts to achieve peace and security in Gaza in line with United Nations resolutions. Islamabad continues to support an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians, and unhindered humanitarian assistance.
Pakistan’s position, officials stressed, remains centered on the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
Diplomatic analysts believe Pakistan’s potential inclusion in the proposed Peace Board reflects growing international recognition of its principled stance and constructive diplomatic engagement on the Palestine issue.
