Customs Enforcement, Peshawar officials inspecting seized non-duty-paid vehicles

PESHAWAR: Customs Enforcement, Peshawar seized 19 non-duty-paid (NDP) vehicles and smuggled goods worth approximately Rs197 million during a series of anti-smuggling operations conducted over the past ten days, officials said.

According to the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, the seizures were made during multiple enforcement actions aimed at intercepting smuggled vehicles and illicit goods entering local markets.

Customs Enforcement, Peshawar recovers smuggled vehicles

Officials said the confiscated vehicles included Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Aqua, Toyota Vitz, Honda Vezel, Toyota Fielder, Honda Grace, Land Rover, and Jimny Jeep. The combined assessed value of the seized vehicles was estimated at around Rs110 million.

Smuggled goods worth Rs87.66m confiscated

In addition to the vehicles, Customs Enforcement recovered smuggled goods valued at approximately Rs87.66 million. The items included silver bullion, fabrics, black tea, cigarettes, cigarette paper, medicines, and auto parts.

Anti-smuggling operations continue

Officials said the operations were part of ongoing enforcement measures to curb smuggling and address illicit trade. Further legal proceedings are being initiated under relevant laws.
