The image reveals the beautiful and unique blue eyes of the whale. This photo was taken on October 6, 2024, near Tahiti. The whale’s eyes are surrounded by a thick layer of fat, which helps regulate temperature and provides protection.
According to the photographer, the whale was 3 to 4 years old, and just two days after this picture was taken, it tragically collided with a ship and died.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Raquel mentioned, “I never imagined having such a connection with a whale, and this was the most beautiful experience of my life.”
