Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expanded the “CM Maryam Nawaz Free Wi-Fi” initiative, now offering free internet access at over 230 locations in Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, and Sheikhupura, according to a statement from the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA).
This project, aimed at digitizing the province, includes 200 Wi-Fi points in Lahore, 10 in Kasur, 15 in Sheikhupura, and 5 in Nankana Sahib. Since its expansion on June 16, the service has seen over 7.7 million users consuming 111 terabytes of data, boasting a 98.7% availability rate.
A PSCA spokesperson emphasized that this initiative significantly enhances access to online educational and business resources, facilitating daily life for residents in both urban and rural areas.
