A tragic incident happened in central Indonesia when a woman was going home to buy medicine for her sick child.
According to an international news agency, a 36-year-old woman in Sitaba village, Sriati, went missing on Tuesday morning after leaving home to buy medicine for her sick child. When he did not return home, his relatives started a search and informed the police. Not long from her house about 500 meters, Sriati’s husband found her clothes and shoes.
The man saw the snake about 10 meters away, still alive and with a very swollen belly. He then called a resident who killed the python and removed Shriati’s body from its stomach.
According to foreign media, a similar incident happened last month when another woman was swallowed by a python. After killing Akeyla, her body was found in her stomach.
Police reported this as the second python-related fatality in the province in a month. Last year, villagers killed an 8 meter long python in one of the villages after it was found eating a farmer.
