Possibility of milk cartons becoming more expensive in next fiscal year’s budget

Sources say the International Monetary Fund has ordered a phased tax on branded milk cartons.

There is an option to abolish tax exemptions for branded milk cartons and retain tax exemptions for unbranded cartons.

In the APBD there are concerns about the increase in the price of tea, sugar, rice and others.

According to sources, dairy companies are expected to get billions of rupees in tax from the decision.

On the other hand, as the International Monetary Fund calls for further reductions in sales tax, the budget is concerned about further price increases in tea, sugar and rice.

According to sources, there are concerns about the further increase in inflation after the budget for the next financial year and there is a desire to stop and limit the output of sales tax from HPG.
