The Sindh government has postponed the intermediate exams across the province including Karachi on Sunday due to the severe heat wave in the region.
The exam, which was originally scheduled to begin on May 22, will now begin on May 27. The decision was taken on the recommendation of Minister of Universities and Councils Muhammad Ali Malkani and approved by Sindh Chief Minister Mirat Ali Shah.
Warnings have been issued by universities and councils to affect data changes. Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology has issued a heat wave warning of extreme heat in Punjab and Sindh plains.
The heat wave has caused discomfort and health problems and the postponement of the exam is an appropriate decision to ensure the welfare of the students.
