The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched an air ambulance service and declared the Hayatabad area of ​​Peshawar a health city.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur chaired a health department meeting at the Prime Minister’s Building where decisions were taken, demonstrating a proactive approach to improving healthcare infrastructure and access.

Apart from this, plans were also shared to create an anti-motorcycle emergency unit equipped with the necessary medical facilities to serve the densely populated areas of the province.

In addition, health information and service delivery will be established to ensure the quality of treatment in government hospitals.

One of the highlights of the health reform includes the introduction of a health screening program for citizens 65 and older. Under this program, free check-ups will be conducted every three months at government hospitals.

The prime minister ordered the leaders to prioritize the improvement of health facilities and provide ultrasound, operation theater and gynecology services in primary health centers and rural health centers.

He further emphasized the need to ensure the availability of all relevant staff, including doctors, at these health facilities. Gandapur also ordered to preparation a new integrated health policy in the province within a month.
