Wellington: A New Zealand woman is suing her boyfriend for not driving her to the airport.
According to media reports, the woman filed a lawsuit against her boyfriend for breaking his promise to drive her to the airport. The woman claimed she missed her flight and suffered other financial losses as a result.
A New Zealand Dispute Tribunal has filed documents that show a woman settling a small claim settlement of about $ 18,000 told her boyfriend she was going to a concert with friends and asked him to drive her to the airport. Her boyfriend promised to do so and agreed to stay home and take care of the dog while she was away. However, her lover failed to fulfill all these tasks, resulting in a huge loss for the woman.
The woman appealed to the tribunal to seek compensation from her ex-boyfriend.
He told the tribunal that his ex-girlfriend had breached an oral agreement with him, but the tribunal rejected his claim. The court held that the lover had no legal obligation to fulfill his promise.
