Pakistani actor Aagha Ali recently opened up about his work life and said that some of the actresses were not allowed to work with him because their fiancés did not allow them.

Aagha told that there have been many times when female actors’ fiances have not allowed them to work with him on the same project.

“In 2016-2017, every time I signed a drama, a producer called me asking if I had beef with a particular actress. I told [the producer] that I had never even met her. The producer asked me if I he argued with her fiance, after which I told him that I don’t even know who her fiance is,” said the 38-year-old actor.

Aagha also said that a producer once told her that one of the actor’s fiances told her not to work with him because he was “scared of you”.

“I also spoke to two fiancés in the emergency room and a friend of one of the actors who banned her from working with me,” he said during the show.

“Once Humayun Saeed asked me ‘what are you doing that your fiances won’t let them work with you’, to which I replied, ‘If there is any problem in the production because of me, then I can back out’,” he recalled.

“I thought people saw me as the characters I play because I don’t have much of a social life,” he added.

The actor also said that he was banned from working in Lahore a few years back because he gave a harsh reply to a producer, adding that the producer also dropped him from a project he had already signed.

“After that I got banned and then I decided [to come] to Karachi on the advice of a friend,” he said.
