Mars to be Clearly Visible on January 16 as It Aligns with Earth and Sun

On Thursday, January 16, Mars will align with the Sun and Earth, making it visible for easy observation. According to astronomers, this phenomenon, occurring every 26 months, is called “opposition,” where the Sun fully illuminates Mars. The Malaysian Space Agency (Mysa) announced this event via a social media post, confirming that Mars will be visible from Earth from January to July. The last similar occurrence happened on December 8, 2022.
