FBR ACHIEVES MONTHLY AS WELL AS 9-MONTH TARGET DESPITE ISSUANCE OF UNPRECEDENTED REFUNDS


At the end of the third quarter of the current fiscal year, the FBR had collected Rs. 6,710 billion against an allocated target of Rs. 6,707 billion for the first nine months, while refunds of Rs. 369 billion were granted, compared to Rs. 254 billion issued during the same period previous year. FBR continues to report a 30% increase in revenue collection compared to the first nine months of the previous fiscal year. During the month of March-2024, the FBR collected the given target of Rs. 879 billion, and refunds of Rs. 67 billion were provided, compared to Rs. 22 billion issued in March 2023.
