Srinagar: Mega-hit Dangal Movie actress Zaira Wasims’s father has passed away.

Zaira Wasim, who quit acting for religious reasons, shared the news of her father’s death on social media. Zaira Wasim wrote in her post, “We are heartbroken and crying over the separation of my father Zahid Wasim, but it is God’s will.

Zaira Wasim rose to fame in 2016 with Aamir Khan’s Dangal where she played the role of young wrestler Geeta Phogat. She also won the best actress award for outstanding performance in the film.
Zaira Wasim announced her decision to stop acting in 2019, saying, “I cannot continue in a profession that is against my religion.”
