In the first match of the legendary World Cup, Pakistan defeated Australia by 5 wickets in a thrilling contest and made fans forget about Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen for a moment.
In the match at the Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, England, the Australian Legends bat first and scored 189 for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan chased down two wickets in reserve, scored 191 for the loss of 5 wickets and won the match by 5 wickets.
In this match, legendary batsman Isuni Khan scored 63 off 41 balls, Misbah-ul-Haq scored 46 off 30 balls and Shahid Afridi scored 11 off 5 balls in the dying moments of the match.
Cricket fans suggested that Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen should learn from former players, arguing that these famous cricketers should be brought back into the fold. Fans criticized the current team which was eliminated in the first round of the T20 World Cup and pointed out that the legend’s strike rate is better than the current players.
Especially, after the victory against Australia, captain Legend Younis Khan dedicated the victory to Pakistani fans.
