ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and widespread destruction caused by sudden floods and landslides in northern Nepal near the Tibetan border.
In a statement posted on social media platform X on Wednesday, the president extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of Pakistan to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster.
President Zardari also expressed solidarity with the people and government of Nepal during the difficult time.
He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and for the safe return of people reported missing following the floods and landslides.
The president’s statement underscored Pakistan’s solidarity with Nepal as rescue and relief efforts continue in the affected areas.
