In an Instagram post, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh congratulated Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem for winning the gold medal for Pakistan.
He said, “My heartiest congratulations to Ashad Nadeem as well for making history with an incredible throw of 92.97m and breaking the Olympic record.”
Congratulating Neeraj, Yuvraj said, “He has proven once again that his spirit to win is as unbreakable as his javelin flight. You have not only won a historic silver medal but also brought a golden moment for every Indian heart.”

Many Indian fans of Arshad Nadeem congratulated him for winning the gold medal for Pakistan.
Indian cricket legend Ravi Shashtri congratulated Arhsad Nadeem and said he needed a monster and spectacular throw from Arshad Nadeem to break the 90m barrier twice, something unheard of. “You’re a great athlete,” he added.
He congratulated Neeraj Chopra for a great show and to be among your discipline in back-to-back Olympics was a fantastic achievement.
