MARDAN: The service contract for selling of compost has been signed between Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) and Green Wish Trading Company Private Limited (GWTC). The contract was signed by Manager Municipal Services of WSSCM Muhammad Ishaq and Chief Executive Officer GWTC Kosar Ali.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer WSSCM Shahid Khan, General Manager Muhammad Khalil Akbar, Deputy Manager Finance Fazle Subhan were also present.
Under the contract, Green Wish Trading Company will purchase all compost produced at Integrated Resource Recovery Center of WSSCM and the company will provide technical and administrative support.
Chief Executive Officer Shahid Khan expressed that this contract will significantly contribute to WSSCM’s financial sustainability. He said that Integrated Resource Recovery Center (IRRC) is the only established center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is a multi-Purpose facility which is contributing towards clean and green environment, promote organic farming in the province and also put a positive impact on employment generation. Under the IRRC system five tons of organic waste is converted into organic fertilizers on daily basis
The successful implementation of this contract will also have a positive impact on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s climate change mitigation efforts and create green jobs. He added,
CEO of Green Wish Trading Company Kosar Ali emphasized the company’s goal of promoting organic fertilizers among farmers to combat climate change challenges in agriculture and ensure healthy crops.
