Mardan: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) on Thursday visited the Software Technology Park established at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan and reviewed the facilities being provided to the citizens by Information Technologies companies. He also inspected various sections of the park and met with owners of the companies.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahid Khan stated in the present era the importance of information technology has increased and only through the effective use of IT we can overcome the administrative problems faced by the institutions.
He said that in the light of the directions of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister Local Government and Secretary Local Government, WSSCM has also started working on digitization and most of the departments of the company have been digitized while work is underway on the rest.
Shahid Khan stated that smart collection is being started for garbage collection in Mardan city with the aim of providing the best services to the citizens in a short time. He said that government institutions should also improve their performance by moving away from traditional methods and using modern digital methods. Information Technology is a vast field that has made life easier in various walks of life.
On this occasion, Chairman Mechanical Department UET Mardan Professor Dr. Asad Ali, District Youth Officer Mardan Usman Khan, Facility Manager Software Technology Park Majid Khan, Chief Executive Officer of ECW Track Irshad Ahmed, Abdul Rahman of Go Jins Company, Manager Municipal Services WSSCM Muhammad Ishaq, Media and Communication Officer Junaid Yousafzai and others were also present.
