WSSC Kohat Holds 34th Board Meeting  

The 34th special board meeting of WSSC Kohat was held under the chairmanship of Chairman of the Board of Directors of WSSC Kohat, Muhammad Saad, in which Member National Assembly Shehryar Khan Afridi, Provincial Minister for Local Government Arshad Ayub, Minister for Law Aftab Alam Advocate, Member Provincial Assembly and DEDIC Chairman Shafi Jan and Member Provincial Assembly Dawood Afridi were specially present.
The board meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kohat Abdul Akram, Board of Directors Rashid Ahmed Paracha, Ehsanullah Jan, Engineer Shakeel Ahmed Afridi, WSSC Kohat Chief Executive Officer Babar Khan Tanoli, Chief Finance Officer Zulfiqar Ali and Chief Internal Auditor Kashif Qayyum.
The board discussed in detail the progress and other important issues for the improvement of services in the interest of the people of Kohat and gave valuable suggestions and instructions for improvement. Effective measures were suggested to improve the performance of services in various sectors, so that the best services can be provided to the people. The Board of Directors also considered the issues that are hindering the delivery of existing services in the city and discussed various strategies to resolve them.
Later, Minister Local Government Arshad Ayub visited the ongoing upgradation of the Sewage Treatment Plant being constructed in Kohat Development Authority (KDA) under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project with the support of the Asian Development Bank, the Women Business Development Center being constructed in Kohat City and the Kohat Sports Complex. During this, he was given a detailed briefing regarding these projects. The objective of the Sewage Treatment Plant is to improve the sewage system of the city and ensure cleanliness of the environment, while the Women Business Development Center is being built to provide business opportunities to women and strengthen their economic status. The objective of the upgradation of the Kohat Sports Complex is to improve sports facilities in the area and provide modern facilities to the youth. Arshad Ayub emphasized the importance of these projects and directed to take steps for their early completion so that these projects can play an important role in the welfare of the people.
