Would you dare to dive into the world’s deepest swimming pool? Be warned, descending into this pool is not for the faint of heart. Inside, there’s much to explore, including an underwater city, arcade games, and more.
This enormous pool, 200 feet deep, is designed so you can dive and explore a submerged city. Located in Dubai, which is home to several architectural marvels, including the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, the pool features replicas of a sunken city with walls, rooms, and ruins. You can even spot motorcycles and cars submerged within it.
Named Deep Dive Dubai, it is also used as an underwater film studio. The pool’s bottom houses couches, chairs, a snooker table, a football game table, and 27 speakers. It could also be considered a man-made underwater cave.
According to Jarrod Jablonski, the director of Deep Dive Dubai, the pool is designed to provide a unique experience for everyone, making diving here a memorable adventure. Training courses are available for beginners to learn the art of diving, with experienced instructors offering guidance.
Experienced divers can explore the sunken city, which is equipped with modern tools like underwater scooters and cameras. However, diving here isn’t cheap. Beginners must pay 800 AED, while experienced divers are charged 1600 AED.
It takes 41 days to fill the pool completely, and its doors officially opened in July 2021.
