The controversial song from the blockbuster Telugu film Pushpa 2: The Rule, which mocked the police, was removed from YouTube. According to Indian media reports, the song, Dammate Patkora, was taken down following the cinema stampede case.
After the film’s release, the song gained immense popularity among fans, although it wasn’t part of the official film soundtrack. T-Series uploaded it to YouTube on December 24, but within a few hours, it was removed due to concerns over the stampede case.
The song, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, was inspired by a scene in the film where the character Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, played by Fahadh Faasil, challenges Allu Arjun’s character, Pushpa Raj. The scene includes the dialogue, “If you dare, catch me, and I’ll leave the syndicate.” This line was later remixed into the song, where the character dances to it.
After the song’s release, it faced heavy criticism on social media. Some people found it humorous, while others considered it inappropriate, especially as Allu Arjun himself was facing legal issues with the state government and police. To avoid further complications, T-Series decided to remove the song from YouTube and other platforms.
