Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that a review of the national cricket central contract is underway. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi unanimously said that only those who meet the fitness standards will be awarded the contract. Apart from domestic and international cricket, they have to pass any fitness test.
He said fitness tests are mandatory for both domestic and international cricket and there will be no compromise on fitness standards. Also, cricketers who have performed well in domestic cricket will be selected for international cricket, while those who do not play domestically will not be considered for the squad.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the national team is currently reviewing the central contracts of the players and future decisions will be made based on the new formula.
