For a long time, New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue held the title of the “world’s most expensive street.”
However, this title has recently been taken over by Montenapoleone, a high-end shopping street in Milan, Italy.
Every year, the American firm Cushman & Wakefield publishes a global index ranking the world’s most expensive shopping areas based on rental prices.
For many years, Fifth Avenue in America had been ranked number one among 138 major retail locations worldwide, but now it has been surpassed by Milan’s most famous luxury shopping street, Montenapoleone.
This short street not only attracts tourists interested in window shopping but also attracts some of the wealthiest people from around the world.
Here, many wealthy people spend at least 2,500 euros (2,600 dollars) per purchase, making it the most expensive receipt globally.
