Veteran Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi has stated that “I Want to Talk” is the best film of Abhishek Bachchan’s career.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, I Want to Talk features Abhishek Bachchan in a lead role and was recently released in cinemas. Although the film’s box office performance has been slow, it has received positive feedback from audiences.
Shabana Azmi shared a screenshot of a scene from the film on Instagram and described Abhishek Bachchan’s performance as the best of his career. She praised him for his sincere and heartfelt portrayal, stating that he fully embraced the character and set aside his own identity.
Meanwhile, Abhishek’s father and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan also praised the film on his blog, mentioning that I Want to Talk makes the audience feel like part of the movie. He praised his son, saying, “Abhishek, you are not just an actor, but the character Arjun Sen in the film.”
It’s worth noting that I Want to Talk is based on a true story, showcasing the complex relationship between an NRI father battling cancer and his daughter. Alongside Abhishek Bachchan, the film also features Ahilya Bamrro and Johnny Lever.
