Owned by Meta, WhatsApp is constantly working on updates to improve the user experience, while users appreciate new features, some updates are occasionally disliked.
However, the messaging platform is rolling out a new version via the Google Play beta program, which according to WABetaInfo brings the version up to 2.24.2.17, and it looks exciting.
The Meta-owned platform will allow transfer of channel ownership in its new update.
In an announcement on his WhatsApp channel, Mark Zuckerberg said that the platform is working on tools to make it easy for channel owners to manage their channels.
A screenshot shared by a WhatsApp message tracker showed that there is a new feature to transfer channel ownership within a channel.
This feature will allow owners to transfer their rights to another administrator of their choice.
“This feature is designed to improve the flexibility and adaptability of WhatsApp channels and allow transitions in case of personal decisions of the current channel owner,” he added.
