TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug. 5: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Toba Tek Singh, in collaboration with Rescue 1122, organized a joint professional training session to enhance the emergency response capacity of its officers and field staff, particularly during the ongoing monsoon season.
The training covered a wide range of emergency management topics, including disaster response procedures, the safe operation of rescue equipment, first aid, fire prevention and firefighting techniques, personal protective measures, and modern emergency response practices.
Participants received practical demonstrations and hands-on training aimed at improving their preparedness to respond effectively to emergencies and protect public safety.
During the session, officials from both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional coordination and enhancing inter-agency collaboration to ensure swift and coordinated action during floods, heavy rainfall, and other emergencies.
The participants emphasized that regular capacity-building initiatives are essential for improving operational readiness and ensuring the protection of lives and property during natural disasters and emergency situations.
