WASA Rawalpindi Orders Faster Repairs to Prevent Water Supply Disruptions

RAWALPINDI: Managing Director WASA Rawalpindi Azizullah Khan has directed officials to ensure the timely repair of motors, transformers and other electrical equipment to prevent unnecessary interruptions in the city’s water supply.

He issued the directions while chairing an important meeting of the Water Supply Directorate. The meeting was attended by the Director Water Supply, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Sub-Engineers and the Assistant Director of the Electrical Branch.

Officials reviewed the condition of motors, transformers and other electrical installations used for water supply operations. The meeting also discussed arrangements for the timely repair and restoration of faulty equipment.

Azizullah Khan directed officials to keep repair time to a minimum whenever a technical fault occurs and complete restoration work on an emergency basis.

He said unnecessary delays in repairing equipment could affect water supply to citizens and therefore all technical problems should be addressed promptly.

The MD also directed officers and field staff to ensure the early identification, effective monitoring and timely resolution of water supply complaints and technical issues.

He stressed that providing citizens with a reliable and continuous water supply remains WASA’s top priority.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of efficient maintenance and quick response systems for strengthening urban water services and ensuring better water management in Rawalpindi.
