The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced a facility for freelancers to register Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) using their mobile numbers.
According to the PTA spokesperson, freelancers previously faced challenges registering VPNs due to the requirement of a static IP. This new feature will benefit freelancers who do not have a static IP.
Freelancers can now register their mobile numbers for VPN usage and access VPN services through their mobile data.
The spokesperson stated that the initiative aims to promote IT and simplify the VPN registration process. So far, over 21,000 VPNs have been registered with the PTA.
