Virtual University Celebrates 14th Convocation in Peshawar, 502 Graduates Honored

The Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) successfully conducted the first chapter of its 14th Convocation in Peshawar today, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduating students in a grand ceremony.

The event commenced with an academic procession led by Prof. Dr. Ather Azim Khan, Registrar of VUP, reflecting the enthusiasm and pride of the occasion.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Inayatullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of UET Taxila, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Dr. Usman, Vice Chancellor of IMS, who attended as the Guest of Honor. Both dignitaries praised the Virtual University for its commitment to digital education and congratulated the graduates on their achievements.

A total of 502 students qualified for degrees in various disciplines at the Peshawar convocation. Among them, 237 students were awarded Bachelor’s degrees, 258 students successfully completed their Master’s programs, and 7 students earned MS/M.Phil. degrees, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

Additionally, 79 Gold Medals and 152 Merit Certificates will be awarded to outstanding students of the 14th Convocation. At the Peshawar ceremony, 2 Gold Medals and 1 Merit Certificate were presented to distinction holders.

Addressing the graduates, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Rector VUP, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students and their families. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence and wished them success in their future endeavors.
