The Worthy Vice-Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, inaugurated the newly established MAHSA Project Lab at the Tabish Alvari Building. The lab’s advanced technological equipment was funded by the UK-based non-profit organization, the Arcadia Fund, through the efforts of the MAHSA project team and IUB collaborators.
Prof. Dr. Amir Sohail, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages; Dr. Samia Khalid, Chairperson of the Department of History; Mr. Muhammad Waqar Mushtaq; and Dr. Moazzam Khan Durrani, the project collaborators, warmly welcomed the Vice-Chancellor to the event.
During the inauguration, Mr. Muhammad Waqar provided a detailed briefing on the advanced equipment installed in the lab. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of utilizing these resources to enhance the university’s academic and research capabilities, as well as to contribute to the development of the region.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran acknowledged the significant efforts of Mr. Waqar Mushtaq and Dr. Moazzam Khan Durrani in securing the funding and establishing the lab. He expressed keen interest in revisiting the facility in the coming weeks to observe and experience the advanced technology in action.
