In a statement issued in Peshawar, the association urged the authorities to speed up the process of appointing vice-chancellors. The delay in filling these key positions is seen as detrimental to the overall functioning and progress of universities across the province.
FAPAUSA’s call for swift government intervention underscores the urgency of the situation. It is imperative that immediate steps be taken to remove the leadership vacuum and ensure the effective functioning of these academic institutions.
The demand resonates with the wider academic community, which wants stability to be restored and leadership restored to meet the challenges facing higher education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The appointment of vice-chancellors is considered necessary not only for the smooth functioning of universities, but also for maintaining academic standards and creating an environment conducive to learning and research.
