Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently shared a humorous incident from his childhood involving Shraddha Kapoor. He revealed that Shraddha had him beaten up for rejecting her proposal.
Shraddha Kapoor, one of India’s most popular actresses, has millions of fans who admire her beauty, charm, and cheerful personality. It’s hard to imagine anyone rejecting a proposal from Shraddha, but Varun Dhawan was once in that very situation.
This incident was shared by Shraddha during the promotion of her horror-comedy film Stree 2. She mentioned that she had once taken Varun to a hilltop to express her love in a unique way, but Varun had rejected her proposal.
During a conversation with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra, Varun clarified the story. He explained that the incident happened when he was only eight years old. He recalled attending Shraddha’s 10th birthday party, where he was among several boys who were all infatuated with her. When asked why he didn’t like Shraddha, Varun responded, “I’m not interested in girls; I’m here to win the dance competition.”
Varun then mentioned that after he refused to reciprocate the feelings, a fight broke out with the other boys, who ended up beating him up. Interestingly, Shraddha had orchestrated this punishment because Varun hadn’t said “yes.”
The story has garnered a lot of attention on social media, with one user calling it “so sweet,” while another remarked, “This is hilarious. At least they did something like regular kids.”
Today, Varun Dhawan is happily married to Natasha, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Lara Dhawan, in June this year. Meanwhile, rumors about Shraddha Kapoor’s relationship with filmmaker Rahul Modi are circulating.
