MR Shahid Usman Ibrahim Parliamentary Sectary , Ministry of Industries and Production visited USC Head Office today for detailed briefing on the activities /operation performed by USC, MR. Muhammad Ali Ammer MD USC , Sr .General Manager, General Managers, Managers and Company Secretary attended the Briefing .
MD- USC described the functions and achievements of Utility Stores Corporation since its establishment in 1971
The Parliamentary Secretary was also briefed about the current functions of USC, restructuring, policy formulations and other achievements.
The Parliamentary Secretary inquired about various aspects of USC operations and made suggestions for improvement.
Mr. Shahid Usman Ibrahim urged USC Management to provide consumers with ample availability of high quality, affordable food items and best facilities.
He assured the Managing Director that he would take up the issue of subsidy for public service and convenience with the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Industries and Production to ensure its restoration.
The objective of the visit was to strengthen the government’s commitment to provide essential commodities to the public at affordable prices through USC.
MD USC thanked the Parliamentary Secretary for his visit to USC Head Office and ensured that under the guidance of Ministry Industries and production, his office shall continue to perform the facilitative role for entire public.
The Parliamentary Secretary ensured that in line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan, he will facilitate USC in near future and provide maximum support to USC.
