Despite the best detergents in modern washing machines, it is almost impossible to ensure that white clothes remain truly white.
Surprisingly, the commonly available headache medication, aspirin, is something that can also help alleviate your laundry woes.
It may sound odd, but many people claim that this hack actually works. Over time, white clothes tend to fade and turn gray after each wash. How can this be stopped? It’s very simple; you just need aspirin.
Simply add 5 tablets of 325 mg aspirin along with your clothes in the washing machine. It can work like magic and prevent your clothes from losing their color.
For better results, dissolve the tablets in a large bowl or a tub of warm water until completely dissolved. You can also crush the tablets before adding them to the water for faster dissolving. Then, soak the clothes in the aspirin water for about eight hours.
While you can also add aspirin tablets directly to the washing machine, soaking works better. After soaking the clothes in the aspirin water, you can proceed to wash them in the machine as usual. You will notice a clear difference in the cleanliness of your clothes.
