The United States is open to removing the Ansarallah movement, also known as the Houthis, from its list of designated terrorist organizations if the Iran-backed jihadist group stops attacks.
The Houthis are currently holding 25 crew members of the Galaxy Lead cargo ship, which the group stole in November.
US Special Representative for Yemen Tim Lenderking told reporters that releasing the sailors would show “good faith” and “will to strengthen” on the part of the Houthis.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senator Mushtaq Ahmed reiterated that the Director General of the Pakistan Navy ISPR had sent him an “explanation” on the deployment of the Navy in the Red Sea and that the Pakistan Navy stands with the people and hearts of Gaza. Blood has been spilled in human rights violations in Gaza.
