Washington: The United States has questioned India’s response to the attempted killing of Sikh citizens.
In an online briefing, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell told reporters that attempts had been made to kill American citizens on American soil. Investigation into Indian involvement in the conspiracy is ongoing.
The Deputy Secretary of State said that the matter related to the plan to kill Sikh citizens in India has been resolved. India responded to American concerns. He told India that the US wanted answers about it. India has been asked to provide an update on the progress made in the attempted assassination of Sikh citizens on American soil.
Kurt Campbell also said that the Indian authorities are considering institutional reforms after the accusation of murder.
