OKARA: Faculty members of the University of Okara, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Wajid and Dr. Muhammad Nadeem, donated fossils of mammals and turtle shells to the museum of Government Postgraduate Girls Degree College No. 1, Okara.
The donation is expected to enhance the educational value of the college museum and provide students with an opportunity to learn about fossils, prehistoric life and natural history through preserved specimens.
On the occasion, a tree plantation campaign was also organized at the Government Postgraduate Girls and Boys Colleges in Okara. Dr. Muhammad Nadeem provided guidance on selecting suitable locations for plantation and planning future tree-planting activities.
The combined initiative aimed to promote educational awareness, scientific learning and environmental responsibility among students, while encouraging educational institutions to play a greater role in conservation and sustainability.
The activities also highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities and colleges in creating opportunities for practical learning and fostering environmental consciousness among young people.
