Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja said it was unfair to sack speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi from captaincy in a day.
Expressing his opinion, Raja said, “What happened to Shaheen Shah Afridi also happened to me. Shaheen Shah Afridi should have been trusted before taking a decision about captaincy.”
“You can get that kind of experience from a captain because it takes your attention away from cricket,” said the popular commentator.
“Shaheen Shah Afridi is the winner,” said Raja, climbing on Shahin’s back.
Talking about the Pakistan team, he said, “Tests cannot be held as the ICC World Cup is around the corner.”
He said he would like to see white ball captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwa as openers.
The former captain acknowledged Azam’s leadership and said, “Babar Azam has become a better captain today.
King said there is a need to play at least two games in the US before the World Cup.
He thought it would be better to go with three fast bowlers in the World Cup.
