Two Pakistan Navy officers promoted to the rank of rear admiral

Pakistan Navy officers Javed Zia and Armaghan Ahmad promoted to the rank of rear admiral.

Islamabad, Jan 28, 2026 — Two senior officers of the Pakistan Navy have been promoted from the rank of commodore to rear admiral, according to a statement issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy).

The officers promoted are Rear Admiral Javed Zia and Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad, both commissioned into the Pakistan Navy in 1994. Rear Admiral Javed Zia is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad, while Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad is serving as Managing Director Dockyard, Karachi.

In recognition of their meritorious services, both officers have been awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
