Celebrated for his Fortnite prowess and commanding a staggering 19 million followers on Twitch, renowned American streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins took to social media to share a deeply personal revelation.
In a candid post on X, the 32-year-old revealed his recent diagnosis of melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
Ninja recounted how a routine visit to the dermatologist for his annual mole check led to the discovery. Seemingly harmless marks on the bottom of his foot were removed, only to return with alarming news – it was cancer. Further examination revealed another ominous dark spot, causing a wave of concern among his legions of fans.
Despite the shock of the diagnosis, Ninja maintains a tenacious spirit and expresses gratitude that the cancer was caught in its early stages. He now encourages others to make regular check-ups a priority, reiterating the importance of vigilance in matters of health.
The reveal comes amid Ninja’s indelible mark on the gaming and streaming landscape, most notably his remarkable return to Twitch in 2020 after a brief stint on Microsoft’s Mixer platform, which ceased operations in June of that year.

Melanoma, a cancer that originates in the skin and can potentially metastasize to other organs, underscores the importance of sun protection measures, health authorities stress.
The NHS advises individuals, especially those with fair skin, many birthmarks or a family history of skin cancer, to be careful when exposed to the sun and take precautions such as applying sunscreen.
While surgery remains the primary treatment for melanoma, cases where the cancer has spread may require chemotherapy, underscoring the severity of Ninja’s health battle.
