While the Hubli Railway Station in Karnataka, India holds the record for the largest railway platform, the world’s largest railway station record belongs to the United States.
The Grand Central Terminal in New York City, constructed between 1903 and 1913, is spread across 48 acres. It can accommodate 44 trains at once.
The largest railway station in the world features 44 platforms and 67 tracks, which are spread across two underground levels. Twenty-six tracks are below ground, and 41 tracks are above ground.
In addition, the station has a secret platform, adding an element of mystery. This platform lies beneath the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, which was used by former U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The platform has never been opened to the public.
