While foldable smartphones have become quite common, a Chinese company has now introduced the world’s first rollable laptop, marking a significant technological advancement. This rollable laptop, which expands upward into a 16-inch display, was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable laptop unfolds to stretch from a 14-inch display to a 16.7-inch screen. The device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 200 V series processor, offers up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, and uses Intel XE2 graphics. For fast internet connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Additionally, it features a 5-megapixel IR webcam for video calls.
The laptop is expected to be available to consumers in the first quarter of 2025, although its price is not yet confirmed. However, it is anticipated to cost around $3,000.
