Every year during the rainy season, a road in China gets flooded, making it even more beautiful.
Yongwu Road, one of the oldest settlements in China, is the only road that connects the ancient town of Wucheng with neighboring villages and counties.
During the monsoon season, Poyang Lake in China gets submerged, offering drivers a view of this unique and beautiful road submerged in clear water.
This 5.05 km long road runs straight through Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. This is why it is considered one of Jiangxi Province’s famous tourist destinations.
However, for tourists, Yongwu Road becomes most popular during the monsoon season, especially during spring when the water level starts to rise. During the rainy season, the surrounding lake’s water level rises to about 18.6 meters, submerging parts of the road.
This natural phenomenon transforms Yongwu Road into “China’s most beautiful submerged road.”
