MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia has responded to questions about remarks concerning her skin tone, saying she chooses to focus on her creative work and acting career rather than giving attention to negative comments.
Tamannaah was asked about comments on her complexion that had drawn criticism for allegedly reflecting gender-based discrimination and bias against women.
In response, the actress said that one of the most important responsibilities of creative professionals is to listen to others. However, she stressed that it is equally important to distinguish between feedback worth considering and remarks that should be ignored.
Tamannaah explained that paying too much attention to every negative comment can make it difficult for people to move forward in life. She said she therefore avoids focusing on such remarks and instead concentrates on her work, creative goals and acting career.
