Actress and educator Tazeen Hussain recently appeared in a Morning show where she offered a candid insight into her beloved relationship with her father, the legendary Talat Hussain. In a candid interview, Tazeen shared touching anecdotes about her father’s role in their family and gave an update on his current health.
Celebrated for his illustrious career in the entertainment industry, Talat Hussain is not only an icon in the world of acting but also a revered figure in Pakistani households. Tazeen fondly remembered her father’s kind demeanor. She revealed that she and her siblings often sought solace in their father’s calming presence.
Reflecting on his profound influence, Tazeen highlighted his cultured upbringing and determination to pass on valuable lessons to his children. She said: “Abba was an artistic man and open-minded, as artists usually are. He never stopped us from doing what we wanted. We were afraid of Amma, not Abby. He never blamed us. Our injuries. He lovingly fed us medicine when we they didn’t want them.” Razeen added, “We got a lot of love from Abby.” She also stated, “I grew up with my father as a girl and as a woman. In our house, there was never a difference between a boy and a girl. We were all equal. My father always treated women with respect.”
Amidst the fond memories, however, Tazeen shed light on her father’s current health issues. “He’s getting old now,” Tazeen began. “With age, the few ailments that come with it, Abba has them. She has dementia where your memory starts to deteriorate.” Although he’s still getting to know her, Tazeen revealed, “He’s getting to know us, it’s not too bad. Some days he’s slower, where summoning people is a little more difficult. Other days he can recognize them. Some days he doesn’t prefer a lot of mental stimulation. Otherwise he walks, wanders, he wants to ride, he eats and drinks, thank God.’
According to Tazeen, the revered figure developed a chest infection, which led to his hospitalization. “His health has deteriorated recently,” she said. “He had a chest infection for which he was hospitalized. At that time, the prayers of his fans and well-wishers worked like a miracle. He came back from the hospital on his feet.”
Although the icon continues to struggle with his health, Tazeen assured fans that he is currently in a stable condition. She admitted there are days when she experiences slower moments, but the resilience and strength she embodies continues to inspire hope and optimism.
