Afghanistan showed their cricketing prowess by defeating Uganda by 125 runs in Match 5 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The victory set a strong tone for Afghanistan’s campaign in the tournament.
Electing to bat first, Afghanistan posted a total of 183 for the loss of 5 wickets. The innings was powered by a good partnership between Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadra.
Kurbaz played 76 runs while Zadran added 70 runs. The 154-run partnership laid a solid foundation and put Uganda under huge pressure from the start.
