ISLAMABAD: SZABIST University Islamabad organised a plantation drive to promote environmental sustainability, encourage student participation in conservation efforts and foster a greener campus.
The activity was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Iffat Rasool, Associate Professor in the Department of Management Sciences and Head of the Community Services and Social Responsibility Society.
The initiative aimed to encourage students to recognise their role in environmental protection through practical action. By participating in the plantation drive, students demonstrated their commitment to creating a greener and healthier campus while raising awareness about the importance of trees and plants in maintaining environmental balance.
The activity also highlighted that environmental responsibility goes beyond planting saplings and requires their continued care to ensure healthy growth and long-term benefits.
Students were encouraged to adopt environmentally responsible habits and contribute to a culture of sustainability both within the university and in their wider communities.
The plantation drive reflects SZABIST University Islamabad’s commitment to community engagement, social responsibility and environmental protection.
