Karachi: Arts Council Pakistan organized an event in Karachi to pay tribute to veteran actress and the founder of HUM Network, Sultana Siddiqui, for her 50-year-long career in showbiz and her social contributions.
The event was attended by Anwar Maqsood, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Mahira Khan, Arif Habib, Nural Huda Shah, Hamid Haroon, Khushbakht Shujaat, Mehtab Akbar Rashdi, Javaid Jabbar, Momina, Durdana, Bushra Ansari, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ijaz Aslam, Khalid Anam, Moomal, Anis Haroon, Javaid Sheikh, Sanam Saeed, Shah Zeb Khanzada, Amjad Shah, M. Zahid Khan, Tina Sani, Zeba Bakhtiar, Asif Raza Mir, and Aslahuddin, who expressed their thoughts.
President of Arts Council, Mohammad Ahmed Shah, stated that Sultana Apa is a rebellious girl of 18 years. Three generations have paid tribute to Sultana Apa, who is a smiling and hardworking woman.
Renowned actress Mahira Khan said that Sultana Apa does what she wants to do, and she has never seen anyone in her life who has kept her business in the name of her daughters.
Humayun Saeed said that the tributes given to Apa are less. Sultana Apa is the reason for the success of dramas.
Addressing the ceremony, Nural Huda Shah, Bushra Ansari, Khushbakht Shujaat, Adnan Siddiqui, Mehtab Akbar Rashdi, Asif Raza Mir, Ijaz Aslam, Anis Haroon, and others also paid tribute to Sultana Siddiqui.
On this occasion, Sultana Siddiqui thanked the Arts Council and Ahmed Shah for honoring her and expressed her happiness that her work would be continued by her children.
At the ceremony, Sultana Siddiqui was also honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
